Responsibilities

The Insurance Defense Attorney will be responsible for handling a wide range of insurance defense cases, including complex litigation and appeals. They will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop effective strategies to resolve disputes.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including case development, research, and analysis. They will be expected to stay up-to-date with changes in the law and industry trends, and to apply this knowledge to develop effective solutions for clients.

In addition to their technical skills and experience, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.

The Insurance Defense Attorney will be based in our St. Petersburg, FL office, and will work closely with our team of experienced attorneys and staff to deliver high-quality results for our clients.


Qualifications

  • Must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
  • Must have active license to practice law in Florida and be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • 3+ years of legal experience is preferred, with a strong background in insurance defense
  • Insurance defense experience is preferred, but not required
  • Jury trial experience in either civil or criminal areas of law is preferred
  • Experience handling discovery, depositions, and hearings
  • Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and trials, including Word, Outlook, and Westlaw
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required
