Insurance Defense Attorney

As an insurance defense attorney, you will be responsible for handling insurance defense cases, including discovery, depositions, and hearings. You will work closely with our team to provide exceptional written and oral advocacy skills, as well as strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and trials.

Preferred candidates will have first or second chair trial experience and/or some insurance civil litigation experience. Former Assistant Public Defenders and Assistant State Attorneys are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must have an exceptional knowledge of Florida civil procedure, evidence, and trial strategy, with outstanding written and oral advocacy skills.

Competitive candidates will be well organized, detail oriented, and able to independently manage a caseload where all work is time sensitive.

To be considered for this role, you must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials. You must also have an active license to practice law in Florida and be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.

3+ years of legal experience is preferred, as well as insurance defense experience. Jury trial experience in either civil or criminal areas of law is also preferred.

Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and trials, including Word, Outlook, and Westlaw, are required. Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
