Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Electrical Technician Sr to join our team in Van Nuys. As a key member of our service center, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems on aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical leadership and expertise in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems on aircraft.
  2. Develop and implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule requirements without compromising safety or quality.
  3. Train and mentor personnel to support company cross-training goals and ensure a safety-conscious, quality-oriented workforce.
  4. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshoot, and teach troubleshooting processes to provide timely and quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  5. Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required.
  6. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  7. Enforce company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
  8. Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines concerning projects.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. 6 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and 4 years of related experience.
  3. A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred.
  4. Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines other than avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installations and repairs.
  5. APU run qualification and engine run qualification preferred.
  6. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  7. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Additional Information

This is a full-time position with up to 25% travel. The compensation range for this role is $39.38 to $43.53 per hour. Final compensation will be determined by several factors, including minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.
