Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Technician to join our team at Geisinger Health System. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and processing echocardiographic examinations, maintaining the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory, and assisting with special procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and process echocardiographic examinations, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures.
  • Assist with special procedures, including transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography.
  • Analyze and file echocardiographic data utilizing digital computer analysis systems.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining internal training programs and in technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques.
  • Assist in approved research activities.
  • Perform mobile Echo service as directed.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Certified Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer within 6 months of hire.
