Sales Lead

At Dollar General, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Lead to join our team. As a Sales Lead, you will be responsible for leading the sales floor team and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the sales floor team and ensure that all sales floor employees are meeting their sales goals and providing excellent customer service.
• Assist in the management of the sales floor, including maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that all merchandise is properly displayed and stocked.
• Provide training and coaching to sales floor employees to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide excellent customer service and meet sales goals.
• Assist in the management of inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and ensuring that all merchandise is properly rotated and faced.
• Assist in the management of cash handling procedures, including counting register drawers, making bank deposits, and ensuring that all cash handling procedures are followed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures, including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Working Conditions:

• Frequent walking and standing.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to run check out station, stock merchandise, and unload trucks.
• Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment, including handheld scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, merchandise containers, two-wheel dollies, U-boats, and rolltainers.
• Frequent and proper lifting of up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds.
• Occasional climbing using step ladder up to heights of six feet.
• Fast-paced environment; moderate noise level.
• Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Occasional or regular driving/providing own transportation to make bank deposits, attend management meetings, and travel to other Dollar General stores.
