Parts Management Director

The Parts Manager directs the daily operations of personnel engaged in receiving and distributing truck parts and supplies. This role is responsible for ensuring the dealership's parts department meets annual and quarterly sales and profit goals through proper purchasing procedures and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities- Coach and lead parts department employees in understanding and meeting department objectives.
- Provide technical assistance and training as needed.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and assess discipline when necessary.
- Interview new candidates for positions and develop the parts department staff.
- Maintain the special orders policy and monitor parts returns to avoid obsolescence.
- Enforce safety requirements, including forklift training and operation.
- Verify security systems are in place and adhered to.
- Confirm department employees' payroll records prior to submission.
- Consistently maintain high standards in serving customer needs.
- Computer skills using CDK Dealer Management system and OEM inventory catalog systems.
- Prefer 3+ years' parts management experience in a dealership environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a strong work ethic.
The work environment is well-lit and has plenty of room to work in the parts area. The environment may change dependent on weather conditions, with exposure to indoor/outdoor loading zones. Moderate noise levels are also present.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands of this role include heavy lifting (50 lbs), twisting, bending, standing, and use of both hands and arms.
