Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily individual meetings with each Assistant Service Manager to pinpoint potential service challenges.
  • Oversee automotive repair and maintenance processes to avert operational interruptions.
  • Collaborate with the service director to establish departmental goals.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard service personnel.
  • Maintain daily sales and production documentation as outlined by senior management.
  • Analyze and assess service sales performance metrics.
  • Organize technical teams in accordance with production needs.
  • Stay informed about new products and modifications to existing offerings.
  • Manage departmental finances within the guidelines set by senior management.
  • Ensure efficient repair-order processing to maximize productivity.
  • Supervise all warranty activities to guarantee adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Comply with dealership protocols regarding client vehicle maintenance and operation.
  • Administer payroll for service staff in conjunction with the payroll department, obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Enforce OSHA standards, procedures, and regulations.
  • Conduct performance reviews for team members.
  • Engage in operational strategy development.
  • Maintain the facility and equipment in optimal condition.
  • Lead weekly departmental meetings and participate in managerial discussions.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; or 2 to 4 years of relevant experience and/or training; or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including MVR, drug testing, and background checks, is mandatory.
