Job Description

This is a hybrid role that requires strong customer service and sales skills. As an Account Associate, you will be the primary interface with customers of Equiniti Unify, answering and placing inbound and outbound phone calls to educate them about unclaimed property and their accounts. You will determine their eligibility to file claims for assets at risk of turning over to the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with account owners or legal entitled parties by phone or email to discuss at-risk accounts
  • Explain the process of recovering and updating at-risk accounts and the services Equiniti can provide
  • Receive and educate callers on why they are receiving documentation from Equiniti and offer reunification services
  • Place outbound calls to customers to correct paperwork submitted incorrectly
  • Understand and communicate EQ Shareowner Services transfer requirements related to asset distribution
  • Prioritize and manage case inventory
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • 2+ years in financial services and/or securities industry experience
  • Experience in customer service and/or inside sales strongly preferred
  • Experience with guidelines of financial institutions related to asset distribution strongly preferred
Skills and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of escheatment law preferred
  • Ability to resolve issues and complaints independently
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
