Dedicated Teacher for Visually Impaired Students in New Mexico

We are seeking an experienced educator to provide comprehensive support to students with visual impairments in a fully remote setting.
About the RoleThis is a dynamic opportunity for a dedicated teacher to make a positive impact on the lives of students with visual impairments. As a Remote TVI, you will collaborate with students, families, and educational professionals to develop individualized education plans, facilitate virtual instruction, and provide ongoing support.
Responsibilities- IEP Development: Create tailored education plans to meet the unique needs of each student with visual impairments.
- Virtual Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction in core subjects, including Braille literacy, orientation and mobility, adaptive technology, and daily living skills.
- Progress Monitoring: Collaborate with students, families, and educators to assess progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Innovative Teaching: Utilize cutting-edge methods and technologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or related field.
- Certification: Valid state certification/licensure in New Mexico as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
- Experience: Previous experience working with students with visual impairments in a school or educational setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in Braille literacy, knowledge of adaptive technology tools, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Competitive Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year based on experience.
