Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Manager to join our team at New Mexico State University.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction projects within the Department of Facilities & Services, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction management. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure project goals are met.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
