The Boeing Product & Services Safety (P&SS) organization is looking for a Systems Safety Engineer to become part of the Enterprise Safety and Mission Assurance Team.

At Boeing, safety is integral to our operations.

As a Systems Safety Engineer, you will have the distinct opportunity to engage throughout the entire lifecycle of the USAF E7-A program, from initial concept through design, testing, production, and ongoing support of the deployed aircraft.

You will gain insight into the complexities of the defense sector while obtaining practical experience with the aircraft.

The Systems Safety team is responsible for the Systems Safety initiatives for the USAF E7-A, which includes analysis and oversight of fundamental aircraft functions, along with managing the design safety processes for the aircraft's mission systems.

Furthermore, the team offers guidance and integration to Mission Assurance and other related functions, including Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health teams, focusing on airworthiness, environmentally conscious design, health and safety, and hazardous materials management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Employ a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to plan, design, develop, and validate balanced lifecycle systems and solutions.
- Assess customer and operational requirements to establish system performance specifications, integrate technical parameters, and ensure compatibility across all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
- Conduct analyses to enhance the overall system architecture.
- Perform evaluations for cost-effectiveness, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, system security, regulatory compliance, certification, product assurance, and other quality factors to ensure mission success.
- Assist in the planning, organization, execution, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk management, issue tracking, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessments.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical or engineering role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Background in Systems Safety and/or Systems Engineering disciplines.
- Experience in aviation safety systems engineering.
