Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the school year in Morgan, MN. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to the individual needs of each student.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Assess students' skills and determine their educational needs.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
  • Monitor students' progress and collaborate with other educators to adjust instructional methods and materials as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License.
  • Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective and individualized instructional plans.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
