In this role, you will collaborate with the management team to oversee all store operations and specific departments. You will be expected to possess a comprehensive understanding of both departmental and store functions, ensuring that your designated area is well-maintained, properly merchandised, and operationally efficient, all while contributing to a workplace that is consistently recognized for its positive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily management of store operations alongside the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
- Act as the Manager-on-Duty, maintaining a thorough knowledge of all store departments to provide guidance and support to both customers and team members.
- Utilize analytical skills and campus knowledge to effectively manage daily operations and make informed decisions.
- Delegate tasks and provide clear direction to team members to ensure the successful execution of multiple projects.
- Maintain a visible presence on the sales floor to engage with customers, address inquiries, and assist with transactions.
- Ensure the sales floor is visually appealing by organizing, cleaning, and arranging products effectively.
- Assist with processing various payment transactions as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent movement throughout the store to access different departments and products.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail environment in a managerial or purchasing role preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Exceptional customer service skills to effectively match customers with suitable products.
- Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills are necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
