About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Program Engineer to join our team in the Renewables Group. As a key member of our program management department, you will work closely with our project teams, engineers of record, and third-party subcontractors to ensure the successful commissioning of utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage (BESS) projects across North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans and procedures for PV and energy storage systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Lead technical discussions with utility-scale developers and subcontractors to ensure effective commissioning and plant performance.
  • Monitor construction and commissioning activities to ensure engineering and commissioning support is planned in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Represent CEI in discussions with clients regarding commissioning and plant performance.
Requirements
  • Background in PV and energy storage systems.
  • Knowledgeable in material suppliers and subcontractors within the PV and energy storage industry, including high-voltage and grid interconnection.
  • Ability to read and understand all disciplines of construction plans associated with PV systems, energy storage systems, and substations.
  • Familiarity with project lifecycle and contract structures for solar, storage, and high-voltage projects.

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of P6 Scheduling.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and stressful situations with a positive attitude.
