Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team at Ascension. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including developing and updating care plans, and communicating with patients and families.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor and record patient condition, including vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data.
  • Communicate with patients and families, including providing education and support, and addressing concerns and questions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical setting preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology.
  • Certification in a specialty area, such as Critical Care or Medical-Surgical Nursing.
