Position Overview:
Are you passionate about analyzing financial data and driving business growth? The Financial Analyst role within our Retail Product Management team is essential for overseeing the pricing strategy and evaluating the performance metrics of various deposit, loan, and revenue segments at MidFirst Bank. This position serves as the primary advisor for product pricing decisions made by management and plays a crucial role in creating and maintaining reports that assess the effectiveness of product growth and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate and maintain the results of product and portfolio performance to relevant business units, including senior management.
  • Prepare and present pricing review documents for all markets and brands under MidFirst Bank, incorporating portfolio production, competitive analysis, and comparisons to key performance indicators.
  • Oversee the rate plan update process, which includes developing and maintaining pricing strategy reports, presenting pricing recommendations, and ensuring successful execution of rate changes across the organization.
  • Manage internal and external rate sheets, ensuring accurate reporting of rates in compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Support the Retail Product Management team in tracking and measuring product strategy outcomes, while identifying and analyzing new and existing product and promotional opportunities.
  • Assist in the annual development and ongoing management of the Retail Product Management budget for deposits, loans, and revenue.
  • Foster strong working relationships with supported business lines and develop partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to address complex challenges and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze and communicate critical insights on various product portfolio and strategy initiatives, including product profitability, competitive and industry trends, and customer feedback.
  • Develop reporting mechanisms to monitor product platform configurations and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide project-tracking support to Product Managers on product and project initiatives.
  • Assist Product Managers and customer support teams in analyzing customer-level reporting on call volumes, complaints, and online/mobile usage to identify areas for improvement.
  • Represent the team in meetings and facilitate follow-up actions as needed.
  • Conduct research and analysis on competitive, industry, promotional, and customer-related matters.
  • Exhibit extreme attention to detail and ensure compliance with business processes and applicable regulations.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and ad hoc reporting as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required; MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analytics, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data mining tools is required; familiarity with PowerBI is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Robust quantitative, problem-solving, and analytical skill set.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Keen attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong presentation capabilities.
