A dynamic public sector labor organization is in search of a Labor Union Organizer to spearhead Strategic Initiatives. This role is perfect for individuals who are committed to empowering and advocating for the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, recruit, train, and cultivate worksite leaders and representatives.
- Inspire, mobilize, and lead worksite leaders, representatives, and members in organizing efforts.
- Establish effective communication channels within worksites.
- Coordinate strategic initiatives to support contract negotiations.
- Provide training and support to negotiation teams.
- Advocate for members through grievance and arbitration processes.
- Willingness to travel overnight on occasion may be necessary.
