Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Applied Industrial Technologies. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and testing gear reducers, motors, industrial and hydraulic hoses, and linear shafting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review work orders, customer specifications, and manufacturer catalogs to ensure accurate assembly and quality control.
  • Receive and ship parts and assemblies, and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and proper receiving methods.
  • Assemble gearing, hose, and/or shafting to customer specifications and quality expectations.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on Shop equipment, and detect and report faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to the Team Leader.
Requirements
  • Equivalent to a high school degree, with specialized training in power transmission and fluid power a plus.
  • Comfortable working with computers, and experience with SAP preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Work Environment

This position is located in Florence, KY, and Portland, OR, where you will work with linear shafting machines and assemble gear boxes, hand tools, and machine builder components.
