Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Excela Health. As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines, administering blood transfusions, and performing ECGs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
  • Current PA RN license.
  • Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
  • ACLS certification within one year of hire/transfer.
  • Act 33/73 clearances.
  • Prior med-surg experience and arrhythmia interpretation preferred.
  • Critical care experience, including IABP, IV insertion, care of the ventilator patient, ABGs, Swan Ganz, Arterial Lines, care of the post open heart patient, and care of the patient requiring CRRT, ACLS, and PALS.
Work Environment

The ICU Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
