Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all production areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to GMP and safety guidelines
  • Identify and address product and processing problems in a timely manner
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Prepare areas to be cleaned by setting up safety equipment and organizing supplies
  • Disassemble, clean, and sanitize all production equipment
  • Clean floors and walls of the production area
  • Monitor and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus
  • Able to work off-shifts when necessary
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use independent reasoning and judgment
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of plant personnel
Physical Requirements
  • Moderate degree of physical activity on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility
  • Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements
  • Works in high noise area and wears appropriate hearing protection
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
  • Able to work a multi-shift environment
  • Exposed to cold/heat/humidity
