Job Summary

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Maintenance Associate to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our store, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers and employees.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the breakroom and all restrooms, including sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash, and cleaning spills.
  • Schedule rotation and cleaning of the dairy shelves, as well as cleaning of the glass dairy and frozen food doors.
  • Sweep the parking lot with designated equipment and perform minor repairs of equipment and fixtures as needed.
  • Shovel and salt sidewalks as needed, and maintain compliance with all company policies and established procedures.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and maintain good communication with the management team and associates.

Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements and have a flexible schedule.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand/walk 100% of the time, with frequent reaching and lifting of cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Ability to handle a variety of cleaning materials/substances and lift up to 40 lbs. approximately 50% of the time.
