Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to join our team at San Dimas Community Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory procedures, including hematology, blood bank, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology, and immunology.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and document maintenance on instruments and equipment as appropriate.
  • Review the accuracy of patient results prior to releasing or reporting.
  • Recognize age-specific differences in expected results for newborns to geriatrics.
  • Ensure that the testing of proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all department and hospital policies and procedures related to safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and human resources.
Requirements
  • Requires two years of clinical laboratory work experience that cover all areas of a clinical laboratory.
  • Bachelor's Degree in biological science, chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid California State License.
