Medical Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at the Genesis Cancer and Blood Institute. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory testing, quality control, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and analyze body fluids such as urine and blood.
- Perform proper quality control procedures before proceeding with patient testing.
- Perform routine clinical laboratory tests.
- Ensure adherence to correct testing policies, procedures, and quality assurance.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laboratory.
- Maintain adequate inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Comply with established safety guidelines.
- Comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to patient care, patient's rights, safety, billing, and collections.
- Adhere to all Company and departmental policies and procedures.
- High School education, required.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a lab setting, required.
- Critical thinking skills including solid problem solving, analysis, decision-making, planning, time management and organizational skills.
- Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness.
- Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.
- Strong customer focus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.
- National lab certification preferred.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Less than 25% travel is required.
