Job Description:

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a skilled Community Wellness Nurse to provide whole person health promotion and disease prevention services to designated Affordable Housing communities. The ideal candidate will have experience in community health nursing and be able to provide health education and counseling to seniors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Promote stewardship of the body emphasizing self-care of the whole person
* Work in conjunction with identified partners to provide educational programs based on identified needs for healthier lifestyles, early illness detection and health resources
* May act as a preceptor to students from schools of nursing, seminaries, and other disciplines as requested

Requirements:

* LPN or RN license in Missouri and/or Illinois required (BSN preferred)
* 5 years of clinical nursing experience preferred
* Competent in nursing assessment skills
