Program Instructor for STEM Education

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Program Instructor to join our team in providing high-quality STEM education programs to elementary school students. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading groups of students through engaging activities, promoting academic achievement, and developing essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activities, promoting academic achievement and skill development
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, ensuring safe and effective use
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures, maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment
- Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos, and participating in live training sessions, staying up-to-date with program requirements and best practices
- Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs, providing clear and concise information about our services and offerings
- State and Federal Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances must be current and cleared to work with children in PA
- Experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment, with a proven track record of delivering engaging and effective educational programs
- Education degree or teaching experience recommended; college students pursuing a degree in education are encouraged to apply
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others, including colleagues, parents, and students
- Ability to communicate effectively orally in English, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis, meeting deadlines and commitments
- Weekday after-school classes, typically available Monday-Friday, 3:30-5:30 pm
- Optional add-ons: weekday in-school special events, weeknight classes, school break workshops, weekend workshops, and birthday parties
- Part-time position, approximately 4-8 hours per week, depending on candidate availability
- Estimated salary range: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
