Job Summary

As a Quartermaster and Chemical Equipment Repairer with the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining the Army's systems and equipment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of chemical decontamination equipment and quartermaster machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and repair internal combustion engine ignition, fuel, cooling, and electrical systems
• Perform damage assessment and repair
• Maintain laundry and bath equipment, pumps, engines, burners, filter units, and water purification units
• Support the maintenance of special purpose equipment, decontamination and protective filter systems, smoke generator systems, and chemical electrical systems

What You'll Learn

• Internal combustion engine theory

Training and Development

• 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you will learn fundamental Soldiering skills
• 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), which will include hands-on and classroom training in marine engine maintenance and repair, internal combustion engine theory, and the use and care of hand and power tools

Requirements

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Must meet citizenship requirements
