Biomedical Equipment Specialist

As a Biomedical Equipment Specialist at Monument Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal functioning of clinical equipment and instrumentation systems. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair, install, and maintain clinical equipment and instrumentation, including life-support equipment
Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices, and systems
Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions
Maintain documentation on new equipment, inspections, and equipment repairs and failures
Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding equipment operations and maintenance
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
Valid State Issued Driver's License
2+ years of Clinical/Patient Care Equipment Service Experience
Preferred:
Associate's degree in Biomedical Electronics
Biomedical Equipment Technician - International Certification Commission (ICC) certification
Physical Requirements:
Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
