Job Description
Our team at the Presbyterian Church is seeking a highly skilled Development Associate to join our development department. This role involves handling various tasks related to donation processing, donor management, and grant writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter donation information into Donor Perfect, including updates to existing donor records and creation of new records as needed.
- Prepare and print acknowledgement letters for donors, including handwritten thank-you notes for larger donations.
- Make phone calls to donors to express gratitude for their gifts.
- File paper documents related to donations.
- Manage online donations, ensuring automated acknowledgments are sent to donors and preparing print acknowledgement letters as needed.
- Record tribute donations, sending acknowledgement letters to both donors and recipients.
- Update donor profiles and track prospective donors in Donor Perfect.
- Analyze data and create reports for the Director of Development and Executive Director.
- Maintain Journal of Presbyterian History subscriptions and respond to queries about missing issues.
- Ensure the security of data.
- Support appeals by tracking contacts, follow-ups, donations, and acknowledgments.
- Coordinate with other departments for grant opportunities and special appeals.
- Attend development meetings, take notes, and assist with meeting follow-up.
- Provide support for committee meetings, including arranging travel and accommodations.
- Produce and review the annual list of donors and tribute gifts for the annual report.
Requirements:
- Experience with Donor Perfect is preferred.
- A deep understanding and commitment to cultural and racial ethnic inclusiveness.
- Ability to speak one or more languages other than English is helpful.
