Position Summary
The Sales Associate serves as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting customers in finding and purchasing products.
- Operating the cash register and handling transactions.
- Restocking and organizing merchandise on the sales floor.
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in the store.
- Performing additional tasks as directed by the Store Manager to enhance store performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting shoppers.
- Accurately process transactions using the cash register and scanner.
- Follow company guidelines for merchandise handling, including unpacking, stocking, and rotating products.
- Ensure the store is clean and well-maintained, including taking out trash and cleaning floors and restrooms.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to interpret planograms and merchandising guidelines.
- Basic knowledge of cash handling and mathematical skills.
- Experience in stocking and organizing merchandise.
Working Conditions
Frequent walking and standing, along with bending and kneeling to manage checkout and stock merchandise. The role may require lifting up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 55 pounds occasionally. Employees may also need to climb step ladders and work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions may occur.
