Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to serve as a member of the School of Nursing team. The ideal candidate will be a professional who enjoys working in a high-volume environment and has strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine.

About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver primary care in a mobile school-based clinic setting to students, faculty, staff, families, and community residents in rural areas around the Brazos Valley of Texas. This role involves working collaboratively with an interprofessional team, traveling to mobile clinic sites, and performing various duties such as history taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, formulating therapeutic plans, ordering laboratory tests, and providing patient education.

Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, we offer medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, flexible spending accounts, long-term disability insurance, 12-15 days of annual paid holidays, up to eight hours of paid sick leave, and at least eight hours of paid vacation each month.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have a Master of Science degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You should also have at least one year directly related experience serving as a family nurse practitioner, an active license as a Registered Nurse and as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner, in the state of Texas with prescriptive authority, and national board certification as a family nurse practitioner. Preference will be given to candidates with at least five years of clinical nursing experience and American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate.
