Laborer (Night Shift) - Operations Support

POSITION SUMMARY

This role involves supporting industrial operations, including collecting waste, assisting with raw material and equipment loading/unloading, and performing tasks within the Tool and ECC departments.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other tools, as well as maintaining clean and organized work areas.

As a Laborer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment by following safety protocols, operating machinery, and performing fire and tank watch duties.

This position requires a high level of physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Collect waste, recycling, and scrap
  2. Assist in loading and unloading raw materials, tools, and equipment
  3. Assist Tool/ECC departments perform various tasks, such as inventory management, tool and equipment maintenance, and stocking shelves
  4. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks
  5. Operate street sweepers and other floor cleaning equipment
  6. Monitor empty and full bottles on the shop floor and replace as necessary
  7. Operate hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, grinders, and sanders
  8. Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment
  9. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  10. Perform fire and tank watch duties
  11. Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • US Citizenship required
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience
  • Experience using tools such as drills, grinders, sanders, and saws
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must have OSHA 10 certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The performance of this position involves exposure to industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats, and hearing protection is required.

Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects (50 lbs. plus)

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Ability to sit for long periods of time
