Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medication Technician to join our team at Quail Park. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medication and maintaining accurate medication records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication to residents in accordance with physician orders and community policies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records, including medication logs and MARs
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure medication accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless medication administration and resident care
  • Assist with resident care activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversation and socialization
  • Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition and report promptly to the licensed nurse or supervisor
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting
  • Ability to take blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and O2 Sat or ability to learn
  • Experience reading medical terminology preferred
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and team members
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other team members
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to represent the community in a positive and professional manner
  • Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure
  • Must maintain current CPR/First Aid credentials
  • Must maintain current Food Handlers credentials
  • Must maintain annual Continuing Education Credits
Working Conditions

The Medication Technician will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on resident care and safety. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $21-$23 per hour.
