About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technician to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a Medical Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of licensed Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants to provide patient assessment and monitoring, vital signs, and other medical services.
  • Administer IV starts and blood draws (as permitted by state law), splint application, wound care, and other medical procedures.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain point of care laboratory equipment, including EKGs.
  • Assist Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants in the daily functions of a mobile care delivery emergency unit.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
  • Restock and manage medical supplies.
Requirements
  • Medical Technician with IV Certification and Basic Certification with State EMT License (hiring credential only).
  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree in a core science or lab science and a minimum of 2 years' experience in chemistry and hematology, especially with experience using an i-STAT device, are encouraged to apply.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • BLS, American Heart Association certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
