Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team at TRS Craft Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing electro-mechanical, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and HVAC inspections and repairs on railcars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, modifications, and overhauls of railcars.
  • Diagnose failed components and remove, repair, and replace parts and components as necessary.
  • Use tools and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Meet strict safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship and provide appropriate documentation.
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug & alcohol test which includes Marijuana use.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical & Physical Abilities evaluation.
  • Must have a valid US driver license & clean driving record.
  • Have work and/or education experience in electronics, control systems, AC/DC motors or a current journeyman's electrical card.
  • Be able to read electrical schematics and prints.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic control systems is required, and experience working with large motor generators and high-voltage circuitry is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using computers/tablets to complete job orders.
