As a key member of our engineering team, you will engage directly with Garmin's Integrated Flight Deck, evaluating groundbreaking innovations that enhance aviation safety, including our advanced Emergency Autoland feature.
This position will encourage you to explore innovative testing methodologies for new Avionics functionalities during their development phases.
You will collaborate closely with both Garmin's clientele and internal software development teams to verify that all specifications are accurately executed.
Key Responsibilities• Provide system testing support for the developmental requirements of OEM programs.
• Communicate the status and timeline for system testing needs related to upcoming deliveries.
• Offer constructive feedback to development teams to ensure solutions align with system testing requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting to determine the root cause of system issues.
• Deliver clear and detailed reports on observed issues for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement enhancements to system testing processes and tools.
• Modify tools to improve system testing efficiency.
• Support troubleshooting of issues reported by simulation companies, ensuring effective communication with all parties involved.
• Develop enhancements to data packages provided to simulator companies.
• Anticipate and devise solutions for simulator company qualification requirements.
• Provide reliable solutions to a variety of challenges using effective problem-solving techniques.
Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong academic performance (cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher).• Demonstrated knowledge of several complex integrated avionic functions.
• Proficiency in relevant tools for system testing.
• Advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
• Understanding of simulator qualification requirements.
Desired Qualifications
• Exceptional academic performance (cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher).
• Previous experience or internships related to consumer or aviation products.
