Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Resident Care Nurse LPN to join our team at Garden Plaza at Post Falls. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the medication program, including accuracy of medication assistance records (MARs) and providing hands-on medication assistance to residents.
  • Perform treatments according to physician orders and take blood pressure, pulse, blood sugar, etc.
  • Chart relevant information about residents and update and inform physicians of changes in their condition.
  • Take physician orders, transcribe new orders to medication sheets, and chart appropriately.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living and order and reorder medications for residents from assigned pharmacies as needed.
  • Promptly respond to call lights and other requests from residents and provide report to staff for the next shift.
  • Assist the Resident Care Director with supervisory responsibilities, training, supervision, and counseling of the resident care team.
  • Assist with scheduling department hours appropriately and serve as an effective role model.
Requirements
  • Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from an accredited program and maintain an active LPN license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year experience in senior services is preferred, and CPR certification upon hire or during orientation is required.
  • Must have current First Aid certification (if required by State) and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in an assisted living community.
  • Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the nursing department.
