Job Title: Luggage Attendant

At Miami Hotel and Residences, we are seeking a highly skilled and courteous Luggage Attendant to join our Front Desk team.

Job Summary

The Luggage Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by assisting with luggage and packages, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience during their stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their designated room or conference center.
  • Load and unload luggage onto carts and transport them to and from guest rooms.
  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, providing accurate information and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Provide guests with information about hotel services and amenities, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of our offerings.
  • Answer guest inquiries and address their concerns in a timely and professional manner, demonstrating a high level of customer service skills.
  • Assist guests with luggage storage and retrieval, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with Guest Services staff to ensure seamless execution of daily VIP arrivals and special guest requests.
  • Follow all safety and security protocols, maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Bellman/Luggage Attendant or relevant role is an advantage.
  • Able to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, demonstrating physical stamina and endurance.
  • Condo/Hotel experience preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality industry standards.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks, working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Service Oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
Education
  • High School degree, GED or Equivalent, with a strong foundation in communication and interpersonal skills.
Language Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred), with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and external partners.
Reasoning Ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
Physical Demands
  • Perform tasks that can require bending, stooping, kneeling, and/or walking, with the ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment

The work environment is primarily performed in an office environment with a moderate noise level, with occasional exposure to ongoing construction and various weather conditions.
