Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Meat Department Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring effective and profitable operations through sales maximization and team member growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process deliveries, including breaking down loads and rotating cooler stock.
  • Weigh, price, and label products.
  • Stock cases and prepare valued-added products.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
  • Manage inventory and control product ordering.
  • Meet sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor targets.
  • Reconcile invoices and execute weekly merchandising plans.
  • Maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
  • Train team members and manage the department in the meat manager's absence.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to use or learn to use equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
Preferred Requirements
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Minimally 1-year relevant work experience.
