Job Summary


The GIANT Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Floral Department Lead Associate to join our team. As a key member of our floral department, you will be responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the team, ensuring that all KPIs are met, and providing exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities


  • Direct the day-to-day activities of the floral team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Responsible for achieving all KPIs for the floral department, including inventory management and customer satisfaction.
  • Use a U-boat to retrieve inventory from receiving and stock the floral cooler.
  • Make arrangements, assist customers, wrap flowers and plants, and inflate balloons as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department and cooler.
  • Track and record losses.

Requirements


  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively to complete job duties and comply with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
  • Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
  • Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
  • Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
  • Must have 1 year of work experience or technical training.
  • Must have keyboard skills.

Preferred Requirements


  • Team members are responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the team member handbook.

Physical Requirements


  • Shift hours: 4-hour shifts or more depending on business needs.
  • Job cycles: continual.
  • Lift/carry: 40 lb.
  • Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
  • Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lb.
  • Max pull static: 20 lb.
