Brink Constructors, Inc.
The Project Management Assistant will provide support to the Project Manager (PM) on various project-related tasks, ensuring timely follow-up on deliverables and collaborating closely with the PM.
When not engaged in project-specific duties, the APM I will support other project initiatives or may rotate through various operational support teams.
Compensation:
This is a salaried position with an exempt status. The salary range is $55,000-$85,000, subject to variation based on location, skills, and experience.
Location/Travel Requirements:
This position is based in Norman, Oklahoma, with 100% travel required. The role will involve working on project sites in Norman and surrounding areas as necessary.
Upon completion of the current project, the position will transition to Rapid City, South Dakota, or Centennial, Colorado, with travel to project sites across the Midwest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the PM in developing the initial project schedule in collaboration with engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction management teams.
- Engage in value engineering and constructability assessments.
- Collaborate with procurement to create subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and schedule exhibits for PM review prior to processing.
- Work alongside the Health and Safety Manager on all safety-related matters, including the development and implementation of project-specific safety plans, incident reporting, and supporting investigations.
- Aid the PM in managing the project schedule and preparing monthly project review reports for the project management team and senior leadership.
- Provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality of all technical, commercial, and administrative project deliverables.
- Assist in the procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
- Monitor the overall progress of design, procurement, and construction activities.
- Facilitate project close-out and warranty administration processes.
- Conduct post-construction cost reviews and reporting, participating in lessons learned sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the PM, including stepping in as PM when necessary and qualified.
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
- Manage field document control.
- Generate daily reports.
- Capture progress photographs.
- Participate in value engineering and constructability assessments.
Qualifications:
Required:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience with DB/EPC projects in the power delivery sector; demonstrated knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in transmission, distribution, and substation work.
Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Proficient in project management systems, preferably Primavera 6.
Familiarity with technology and strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and other relevant software).
Demonstrated management and supervisory capabilities.
High level of integrity and ethical standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Valid, active Driver's License.
