Position Overview:

The Industrial Thermal Management (ITM) division is expanding throughout North America as we aim to enhance our presence in key sectors such as foundry, hearth, and ceramics, particularly in high-temperature applications.

We are in search of driven individuals capable of identifying new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and expanding their designated market share. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a vital role in our long-term growth strategy. Key Responsibilities:
  • Balance the pursuit of new business, customer development, and retention within a specified territory.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and program execution.
  • Design and deliver educational experiences for customers focused on growth.
  • Formulate short- and long-term strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Analyze industry, customer, and territory trends.
  • Utilize available tools and data to inform actions within the territory based on insights.
  • Monitor market conditions to develop strategic responses.
  • Identify customer needs, challenges, and objectives that require comprehensive Alkegen solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with business partners, including customer service, engineering, and production teams.
  • Participate in relevant industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Manage your territory using a hybrid approach of customer visits and remote work.
  • Plan for in-territory travel up to 25% based on business needs and return on investment.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • University degree or engineering designation, or a combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a growth-focused business with measurable outcomes.
  • Experience in technical, industrial, and application product sales.
  • Familiarity with product development, production, and delivery processes.
  • Knowledge of industrial markets such as aerospace, metals, LNG, ceramics, glass, foundry, or high-heat applications.
  • Proven track record in business development, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Attention to detail in sales reporting, analytics, and territory-level interpretation.
  • Creative problem solver who contributes solutions to discussions and challenges.
  • Strong communication and influencing abilities.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with social selling, digital marketing, and creating presentations and webinars.
