Position Summary

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Education Specialist to enhance its clinical practice.

Mount Sinai Health System is a prestigious, non-profit teaching hospital renowned for its commitment to quality healthcare. With a focus on compassionate patient care, our institution serves a diverse community, providing exceptional medical services across various facilities.

The Department of Medicine, led by experienced professionals, boasts a robust team of nearly 400 members, including a prominent hospitalist program and distinguished subspecialists. The Internal Medicine Residency program is preparing to transition to a new, state-of-the-art facility, offering an exciting opportunity for the selected candidate to contribute to the training of 39 residents. This role emphasizes maintaining high standards in ambulatory care, with a structured schedule of Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, without hospital obligations. Weekend coverage is not required, although opportunities for additional shifts may be available for interested candidates.

The successful applicant will collaborate with the esteemed Icahn School of Medicine, which is dedicated to a holistic approach to patient care, education, and research. Candidates may qualify for an academic appointment based on their previous experience and professional standing.

Key Responsibilities


• Engage in community-based teaching practices affiliated with a university

• Access educational, research, and clinical resources from a nationally recognized medical institution

• Focus on outpatient care for adult patients, maintaining a standard workweek

• Utilize a fully integrated Electronic Health Record system

• Collaborate with additional support staff to enhance patient care

Required Qualifications


• Medical Degree from an accredited institution

• Valid New York Medical License

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine

• Commitment to the mission of Mount Sinai Health System and the communities served

• Strong communication skills, bedside manner, and organizational abilities

• A proactive work ethic and enthusiasm for teamwork within a performance-driven health system

Compensation for this position ranges from $240,000 to $280,000, exclusive of bonuses or benefits.

Salary Transparency:

Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range in compliance with local regulations. Actual salaries may vary based on experience, specialty, and community needs. The stated range pertains to full-time employment and does not include bonuses or benefits.
