Job Description

Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Products Platform organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing new configurable equipment products using advanced engineering tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical design effort for new configurable membrane based equipment products sold into NAM and other regions.
  • Support the engineering effort on several programs and projects for new and existing membrane based equipment products.
  • Be the point of contact for sustaining engineering efforts related to mechanical, instrumentation, and some design drawing work.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting customer and manufacturing problems related to all membrane equipment products.
  • Travel may be required to our various manufacturing sites and customer sites to support new product introductions and collaboration with regional teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in ACAD and Solid Works design software.
  • Experience with engineering standards for documentation, engineering review processes, and common regional regulatory requirements.
  • Independent, motivated self-starter with strong statistical and project management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written English and presentation skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with the configurable membrane equipment product portfolio at VWTS.
  • Industrial product design experience in water treatment and/or food processing involving membrane separation processes.
  • Experience with business management software, e.g. SAP and Eng. change processes.

Location: Membrane equipment focus: Position to be based out of Minnetonka, MN USA or Oakville, ON Canada.
