Job Overview
  • Work approximately 4 hours per day during the academic year.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Possession of a valid commercial driver's license
  • Valid Mississippi School Bus Driver's certification
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check

Applicants must hold a valid Class 'B' commercial driver's license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, along with the State of MS Bus Driver's Certification.

It is required to complete a school bus driver training course every other year, as provided by the MS Department of Education.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not currently enrolled in high school.

Completion of a Basic First Aid course annually may be required.

All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, DOT physical examination, and criminal background check.
