We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at AdventHealth. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care by accurately registering patients for all services, verifying insurance eligibility, and obtaining pre-authorizations.
Key Responsibilities- Registers patients for all services, including emergency room, outpatient, inpatient, observation, and same-day surgery
- Verifies insurance eligibility and obtains pre-authorizations as needed
- Performs cashiering functions, including collections and cash reconciliation
- Ensures accurate and timely completion of patient registration and insurance verification
- Provides excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year or more of relevant healthcare experience preferred
- Prior collections experience preferred
- Associate's degree preferred
- Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
