We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth LaGrange. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care by accurately registering patients, verifying insurance, and obtaining pre-authorizations.
Key Responsibilities- Register patients for all services, including emergency room, outpatient, inpatient, observation, and same-day surgery
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations as needed
- Collect patient demographic information and ensure accuracy
- Perform cashiering functions, including collections and cash reconciliation
- Communicate with patients and families to ensure a positive experience
- High school degree or equivalent required
- One year or more of relevant healthcare experience preferred
- Prior collections experience preferred
- One or more years of customer service experience preferred
- Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
