We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at CSBS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud-based systems and applications on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to increase system efficiency and reduce administrative effort.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Monitor and proactively mitigate potential incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business services.
  • Provide day-to-day operations and on-call escalation support for all AWS client, server, storage, and network services.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of relevant professional system engineering or administration experience, with significant exposure to a variety of technologies and domains.
  • 5+ years working with AWS, deep understanding of AWS concepts, and fluency with the AWS APIs/command line tools.
  • 5+ years of advanced working knowledge of the Linux operating system.
  • Experience automating server configurations, including standard build installations and system security hardening.
  • Experience in developing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions using Terraform and AWS Cloudformation.
  • Python, NodeJS, and bash scripting experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Professional Certification - Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience with project and portfolio management tools, such as Project and Jira.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $136,906.00 - $185,225.00.
  • A hybrid work environment with remote support.
  • On-call rotation and issue escalation support.
  • Occasional travel outside the Washington D.C. area (1-3 days per quarter).
