Job Summary

Franciscan Health is seeking a Medical Assistant or LPN to join our team at Columbus Primary And Specialty Care. As a Medical Assistant or LPN, you will provide direct patient care in a variety of outpatient settings, including rooming patients, taking vitals, and administering vaccines and medications. You will also gather requirements from internal and external customers and provide information via phone and electronic messaging.

Responsibilities

* Provide a more personal approach to direct patient care in outpatient settings
* Gather requirements from internal and external customers and provide information via phone and electronic messaging
* Initiate and follow through on prior authorizations, referrals, and process sample medications, prescriptions, and refills as directed

Qualifications

* High School Diploma/GED - Required
* Certificate or Associates Degree in Medical Assisting OR Associates in LPN - Required
* 1-year Medical Assisting or LPN experience - Preferred
* Certified Medical Assistant (CMA; RMA; NCMA; CCMA) - Required within 6 months of hire OR valid LPN license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) upon hire
