We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Classic Westchester. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients, preparing them for laboratory testing, and ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood and other specimens from patients using various techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
- Label and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
- Communicate effectively with patients, laboratory staff, and medical staff to ensure smooth specimen collection and processing.
- Participate in the instruction of new personnel and contribute to the development of laboratory procedures.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to laboratory policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification or training program completion required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, laboratory staff, and medical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols, including specimen collection, processing, and testing.
