Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing direct personal care and related support to residents in a long-term care facility. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality care services and promote an optimal quality of life for residents.

Key Responsibilities

Provide physical support to assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and using the toilet.
Answer patient call signals and communicate with nursing personnel and other department staff.
Review residents' dietary restrictions and preferences to ensure appropriate care.
Measure and record food and liquid intake or urinary and fecal output, reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certified Nursing Assistant Certification from the State of New Mexico or willingness to obtain within four months.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

This position is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions. The successful candidate must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
